To become a museum member please check out our Friends of the Museum section. The Friends are a dedicated group of people who donate their time and talents to insure the smooth operation of the museum.
Although it is recommended but not required to join the Friends group anyone may become a museum volunteer, you do not have to live in Collinsville. You can work as much or as little as you desire and it is not necessary to have any museum experience to volunteer, other volunteers will train you. The volunteers perform such tasks as organizing artifacts, clerical jobs, scanning documents, sorting and classification of documentation, making labels for the artifacts, assisting other volunteers with their duties and any other tasks that require immediate need. You may also be a museum guide to help assist visitors in their research and direct them to the artifacts they are interested in.
